Beautiful illustrations and a really nice modern take for an old favorite.

We absolutely loved The Fairytale Hairdresser and the Sugar Plum Fairy. We have already got The Fairytale Hairdresser and the Little Mermaid and we loved that so I couldn't wait to read the new book written by Abbie Longstaff and illustrated by Lauren Beard.Again this new book has such beautiful illustrations, from glitter all over the front cover, to gorgeous detail in all of the pictures. The story is perfect for winter, and would make a great addition to a christmas stocking, or reading advent calender, with a hint of christmas spirit, The Fairytale Hairdresser needs to help the Sugar Plum Fairy and find the missing Prince Armand, with help from all of her friends they try and save the day in time to get ready for the winter ballet. My children loved every page, particularly the part where they visited Sweetie Land and they spent ages looking at the pictures and spotting all of the different types of sweets. It is the perfect book for any child, whether for a bedtime story or just a chance to snuggle up with a book on a chilly winters day.

My daughter has been reading the kittie lacey books since she was about 5, shes now eight and still loves them. The stories are so lovely for little girls, Kitte Lacey saving the day every time. My daughter loves the way they bring a twist to the original fairy tale characters. Beautifully illustrated. Always a glittery picture at the end which she is excited to see.

My daughter loves these books. Out off all of them I would have to say this one is her least favourite. I don't think the story is as good as the others but to her it might be because the Sugur Plum Fairy is not know to her as say Cinderella.

We now have all the books in the hairdresser series for our 5 year old. Like the rest she also loves this one. She has just started to read and enjoys reading a couple of pages to herself each day.
